Brain Fitness

Recent findings in neuroscience have shed light on the plasticity of the human brain. Now, it is generally accepted that the adult brain is very dynamic and ever-changing in response to stimuli. This means that our minds are a direct product of how we use them, and from this fact arises the concept of brain fitness.

The basic idea behind brain fitness is very similar to that of physical fitness. Muscles and skills that are not frequently exercised become weaker and more likely to be injured or lost, and mental faculties are not much different. By actively exercising our cognitive abilities, we are making our minds healthier, stronger and less susceptible to decay.

Brain training and brain fitness go hand in hand. The idea is to train your brain to be faster, more capable, and generally more fit. There are many different aspects of brain fitness, and many different ways to maintain it. Likewise, there are numerous ways to train your brain.
